Our story
Hi, I'm Lea ... self-described mad collector of vintage crockery and glassware and owner of Vintage Whimsy and Luxe High Tea Hire.
We have always had a ridiculous amount of crockery and glassware for a household of two, and since moving to the Sunshine Coast more than 20 years ago, the collection has continued to grow.
My husband and I are both big fans of all things vintage and retro and our collection had reached a point where it was either time to downsize or work out a way to share it with others.
So in mid-2022, Vintage Whimsy was born. Initially we decided to focus the business on the needs of locals hosting their own lovely high teas. As there has been quite a lot of interest in authentic vintage as well as vintage inspired modern crockery we have included our Luxe High Tea Hire range in our collection.
We are currently working on expanding into a comprehensive service that will allow you to bring a touch of vintage glam to corporate events, wedding receptions, dessert buffets, luxe champagne and canape-style events, garden party luncheons and fundraisers.
